We've been friends since school, which is long enough to have shared the Mother's Day panic far too many times. We tried reminder apps, we tried stockpiling cards and we tried cards printed to order. None of it worked, but we did learn that a handwritten card always went down infinitely better than one with a printed message. When Ollie missed his gran's 80th, it was the final wake up call. We designed a system which would work for us and we're confident it will work for you too.
